the occasion of its 75th anniversary in 2001, the choir has been awarded
the ´Koninklijke
Erepenning´ (Royal Medal
of Honour). The
history of the choir was published in 2001 in the book ´75
jaar Mignon in een eeuw Geleense mannenkoorzang´
(75 years Mignon in a century of male choir in Geleen). Choirmaster
is John Gerits, who conducts the choir since 1993. Patrick Aendekerk is
regular accompanist and second choirmaster. Each
year there are regular items on the program of Mignon, such as a
springtime concert in April and a concert in the Christmas-time. Members
of the choir have the opportunity to attend lessons in choral singing, at
the local school of music. Although
the choir is a Dutch choir, there are also members from Belgium and
Germany, such as the regular accompanist. Repertoire Classic
